The Duncan family have been farming livestock since the 1950s. Nature prevails at Duncan Family Farms. Our livestock are reared naturally in this most beautiful of environments, producing the most tender meat. It also makes for a great place to stay or visit.

As a family business we are committed to farming in a sustainable manner which guarantees a future for generations to come. With the future in mind we are currently diversifying our business by adding self-catering accommodation at two of our farms and from 2021, sightseers, hill walkers, munro baggers and pure and simple Scotland-lovers will be able to stay either at luxury Glamping Pods at Lands of Drumhead Farm near Drymen or recently renovated Stable Cottage at Inveruglas Farm near Ardlui.

We have three farms. They are run by the second and third generation of the Duncan family. Two are at the south east of the loch and the third is at the north west, set within the Arrochar Alps. A tour of all three makes for a great day out and a unique farm experience.

Stay

From 2021, sightseers, romantic galivanters, hill walkers, munro baggers and pure and simple Scotland-lovers will be able to stay either at luxury Glamping pods at Lands of Drumhead Farm in the south or recently renovated Stable Cottage at Inveruglas Farm in the north.

With a fourth generation of Duncans keen to get more and more involved in the family enterprise we’re delighted to be making our world of farming within a world class landscape, more accessible.

TASTE

We’ve recently started selling our home-grown, grass fed lamb, hogget and mutton and much of our produce is already available to buy and enjoy, either direct from our farm or online via The Great British Food Hub & Neighbourfood. We also sell limited quantities of beef  and pork throughout the year. Our list of repeat customers is growing rapidly.

All our animals are reared naturally on permanent pasture. This ensures that our meat is not only fully traceable but has plenty of flavour too. For us animal welfare is a top priority and our three farms are all Quality Meat Scotland assured.

The banks of what is arguably Scotland’s most famous loch are indeed bonnie, set as they are within the diverse and beautiful landscapes of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and accommodating a long stretch of the West Highland Way.
